Friday, 24th April, 2009Yesterday, Timbercorp announced it was entering voluntary administration. Oolloo Farm Management currently manages four mango orchards on behalf of Timbercorp and its investors, located at Katherine and Mataranka, NT and Dimbulah and Bundaberg, Qld. In addition to mangoes, the Bundaberg farm grows avocados and custard apples. Oolloo is responsible for orchard management, as well as the harvest and packing operations on all farms. The administrators have ordered the suspension of Timbercorp's forestry and horticulture operations while they sort out funding options. They then aim to develop a strategy for each individual project. Oolloo Farm Management will work with the administrator to establish a clear path forward to ensure the continuity of the mango projects. The current situation has no effect on the day-to-day operations of Harvest FreshCuts, Vegco or The Harvest Company. As more information becomes available, we will continue to provide updates.
